This drawing illustrates students working in groups to explore worms. They are depicted manipulating materials such as a magnifying glass. Students are drawn observing the worm as prompted by the teacher's comment, "What do you notice about the worm?” There was evidence of questioning in the drawing as the teacher asked, "Which way is the worm moving?" The inclusion of exploration, manipulation, observation and questioning in the drawing resulted in a score of four for this strand.
