Strand 2: Come to generate, understand, remember and use concepts, explanations, arguments, models and facts related to science.
Students in this example are depicted completing station activities related to the science topic of habitats. The illustrator wrote in the drawing that students were explaining and discussing. We considered that science learning activities related to habitats was evidence of teaching concepts. The presence of both explanations and concepts resulted in a score of two for this drawing.
