Strand 1: Experience excitement, interest and motivation to learn about phenomena in the natural and physical world.
Students are seated around a table observing plants in this drawing. They engage in a conversation about the plants, asking one another several questions and stating their observations. We assigned this drawing a score of zero because the teacher and students were not drawn with facial expressions. Additionally, there were no other indicators of excitement, interest or motivation in thought bubbles or comments.
